Guggul Drug Interactions

Guggul lipid may increase the potency of anti-inflammatory pain killers, drugs used to lower blood pressure (such as Vasotec), muscle relaxants (Valium), lithium, and diuretics (Lasix).

It may reduce the effects of anti-arrythmic (such as digoxin) and anti-diabetic (Glucotrol) drugs. Anyone taking prescription drugs should consult with a qualified herbalist, naturopath, physician and/or pharmacist before taking guggul extract.
